This project involved the installation of seven groundwater extraction wells for the operation at a nominal flow of 1,575 gallons per minute (gpm), with the ability to accommodate up to 2,000 gpm of influent flow. This treatment plant is unique due to the use of emerging reverse osmosis technology and included four reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment multimedia filter vessels, four reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment horizontal cartridge filter vessels, a multi-stage RO System with several trains, and an associated post-RO decarbonator.
The project also included the installation of carbon media filter vessels, ion exchange treatment vessels, an ultraviolet light treatment system, chemical dosing systems, water storage tanks and two modular buildings.
